The 2025 Festival’s Call to community Underwriters & Sponsors

We are reaching out for your help in funding our third Woodstock Community Festival of Awakening.

Woodstock has proven time and again that it has the unerring ability to “wake up the world," and once again these words have rung true, as we mounted the first-ever Woodstock Community Festival of Awakening last September to solid acclaim as body workers, social activists, mystics, yogis, savants, psychologists, sound healers, ecologists, musicians, artists and poets came together throughout town for the magic we are together. We estimate more than 600 people attended various offerings, from the opening ceremony and community supper and the big Bearsville gathering and concert at the Station Bar to the closing ceremony’s reading of community responses to the question, “What do you want to awaken?”

The Woodstock Center for Awakening (WOCA), the Festival’s 501(c)3 sponsoring organization, is dedicated to helping people answer that question and to the exploration of awakening in all its forms and to be an event-driven intersection where people and groups may find each other, learn from each other, and prosper.

On the heels of first-ever Festival’s success, now WOCA is preparing to announce our second annual Woodstock Community Festival of Awakening, Friday through Sunday, August 9-11. Once again, ceremonies, performances, workshops, talks, readings and more will occur throughout the town of Woodstock and beyond, including a large gathering at the Bearsville Center on Saturday. There will be dawn and dusk meditations, yoga, instruction and practice in various awakening schools, progressive causes, lots of good food and gatherings, great music (Kirtan, rock & more), plus performance and other arts—and through it all the collective aspiration to awaken. In 2024, the Festival is expanding its offerings.

We are also preparing to meet financially the challenge ahead, and we are asking at this juncture for community underwriting and sponsorship from local businesses, organizations and philanthropists: We hope you may help! The upcoming Festival can’t happen without the support of patrons like you. All contributions are tax-deductible, and we offer a range of underwriting opportunities, including Festival-wide passes, t-shirts and a host of other benefits, including patronage notice in all Festival publications (including our website), at the Opening and Closing ceremony and whatever opportunities may arise to acknowledge and thank our supporters. We also have a Gofundme campaign, so all may contribute without limitation.
