Help us mount the 2026 Festival of Awakening
We are reaching out to local businesses, organizations, and philanthropists for help in funding our fourth Woodstock Festival of Awakening—August 14–16, 2026—and the year-round community programming it anchors.
Your support is what makes this possible, and all contributions are tax-deductible. The Woodstock Center for Awakening (WOCA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to the exploration of awakening in all its forms and to being an event-driven intersection where people and groups may find each other, learn from each other, and prosper.
Woodstock has proven time and again that it has the unerring ability to “wake up the world,” and once again these words have rung true. In 2023, we mounted the first-ever Woodstock Community Festival of Awakening to solid rejoicing. Body workers, social activists, mystics, yogis, savants, sound healers, ecologists, musicians, artists and poets gathered throughout town for the magic we are together. At Sunday’s closing ceremony, we read the community’s responses to a single question: What do you wish to awaken?
In 2024, Krishna Das and company played to more than 1,200 people at Bearsville, attending to every throb of that vatic sound. In 2025, we were joined by luminaries including Ira Schepetin, HeatherAsh Amara, Br. Ramanandamrita, and Robert & Nena Thurman. Each year deeper, each year reaching further. The closing ceremony last year took us from the reading of the wishes at the Shivastan Poetry Ashram to the Village Green, where we joined the drum circle, as we have the last three years. Building on the experience and strengths of the past three years, we are “occupying” the entire Bearsville Complex for the full weekend—hosting events from Friday evening’s Opening Ceremony and community potluck through Sunday afternoon’s Closing, with a Saturday night dance gathering at the Bearsville Theater featuring Tribe of Love, among other acts.
New this year: the Awakening Art Project in the Grove, a group show of relational-art installations along the forested path adjacent to the Park, culminating in a series of Sunday performances integrating poetry, music, dance, and storytelling.
Concentrating everything in one place means activities are a short walk apart, fostering connection between events and happenings. Three days and two nights of sustained attention to awakening, held in a single space.
Your sponsorship doesn’t only support the Festival weekend. WOCA runs year-round community programs—BreakBread potluck gatherings, Awakening Being Gatherings, Community Healing Dialogues, and Non/duality Talks. Underwriters are acknowledged across all of this programming, not only at the Festival itself. More touchpoints means more visibility for your support, more connection to the community you’re helping to build.
Currency isn’t always cash. We welcome contributions of goods, services, venue space, printing, food, and professional services. In-Kind Partners receive acknowledgment at a level commensurate with the fair-market value of their contribution. Let’s talk →
